Product Description

A very special event  "Palmwoods Spring Harvest Festival" Celebrating Good Culture and Community.

Kookaburra organics in support of the Festival will be conducting two workshops on Wednesdays 4th & 11th September. Time 9.30am to 11.30am

At this workshop will we will make a "Home Brew" Fertilizer from household waste and other freely available items. (No need to buy expensive concoctions!). We will show you natural pest control methods that won't cost you the earth.

We will end the workshop with a walk and taste of the Homegrown Cafe's Kitchen Garden This garden started in August 2018 it is now just over 12 months old and producing great vegetables for the Cafe's menu.

Facilitators

Gary Hands is an Organic grower of fresh produce including survival & Heirloom plants. Kookaburra Farm is a Organic and sustainable, naturally farmed market garden on the Sunshine Coast,Qld.

Gary is well known for his knowledge in organic growing in both temperate & sub–tropical areas.  He is a regular speaker at Garden Clubs, Sustainability Expo's and Organic Food groups.  He regularly presents a range of vegetable growing workshops catering for beginners through to the very experienced gardener. Gary also privately consults on creating Backyard Farms and market gardens for sustainable food crops, using aspects of permaculture design and holistic approach. https://www.facebook.com/kookaburraorganics

Paula West is the Queen Bee/ Apiarist of Adopt a Beehive. www.adoptabeehive.com.au  Paula’s approach to beekeeping is totally holistic and natural and she will impart some vital “must know” info about bees, pollination and your veggie garden.   Her expertise and comments are regularly sought by media groups.

Several articles have been published about Adopt a Beehive in the Sunshine Coast Daily and the prestigious Salt magazine.
