About Kookaburra Organics
Kookaburra Organics Australia Pty. Ltd. was established in 2002 and is situated at the property "NobleEarth", in the Conondale Valley, South East Queensland, Australia.
NobleEarth covers an area of 300 acres (112hectares) with approximately 60% native forest. The pristine waters of Kilcoy Creek runs along our boundary for 1.5 km. This water becomes the Mary River and eventually runs out into the Great Barrier Reef at Maryborough.
The purpose of establishing Kookaburra Organics was created out of our need to maintain the healthiest possible lifestyle and to provide fresh organic produce to the wider community.
Kookaburra Organics Australia Pty. Ltd. has a firm belief that organic food should be affordable to everyone! In our experience to date, we find that growing organic fresh food is no more expensive than growing conventional small crops. Therefore, it is our aim to provide premium quality fresh vegetables direct to the marketplace at an affordable price, and for it to be passed onto the consumer also, at an affordable price.
Currently, Kookaburra Organics supplies retail outlets (direct) in Brisbane and Maleny, eliminating the middle person.
We grow a wide selection of vegetables using organically certified seed from our own seedbank, Greenpatch and Select Seeds. The vegetables are pollinated by thousands of our Bees.
NobleEarth is registered with Land for Wildlife and has undertaken extensive Riparian (creek bank zone) and forest regeneration tree plantings of local native rainforest species. This activity is ongoing, having already planted over 6000 trees to date.
NobleEarth is powered by its own stand-alone off grid, solar system, consisting of twenty four solar panels (160 watts each, plus 24 deep cycle batteries.)
We also operate from our own rainwater catchment. The vegetable garden is watered by one of the many springfed dams.
Other features:
- A large collection of Cactii and succulents...the waterwise plants!
- Organic honey is harvested from our happy colony of "Free Range Bees"
- Organic Native Trees
